As part of our regular blog posts we would like to give you a snap shot of some of the projects we have on the drawing boards.
This latest project is a house extension design for an existing 1970’s house set in a fantastic site just outside Dundalk, Co Louth.
The client was unhappy with their kitchen, the entrance to the house and the size and nature of their dining space.
The house is quite unique in that it is built on a sloping site with split level accommodation.
We decided to take advantage of that, moving the kitchen to the lower level and opening the new kitchen / dining space up to a large, south facing deck area.
The double height extension allowed us to tie the upper and lower level together with a dramatic double height space and a small balcony overlooking the mature trees and views beyond.
The project will be submitted for planning permission later this month.
Check out this video to see the completed design.
