Due to current Planning Policy (PPS21) there are limited opportunities to gain Planning Approval in the Countryside.
One way is by applying for permission to build a Replacement Dwelling.
Did you know that old buildings that have been abandoned qualify for replacement?
The requirements are that 4 walls are substantially intact and that the building exhibits the essential characteristics of a dwelling. (ie a chimney, fireplace or maybe brick headers around the doors or windows)
Even if the building has no roof or internal walls or doors it can be suitable for replacement.
We have created a handy link HERE to the Planning Policy document. (PPS21)
If you have an old building like this and are thinking of applying for a Replacement Dwelling we would love to speak to you.
